This Privacy Policy explains how CardBreakCalculator.com handles your information.

Information we collect

  • Account details. The email address and password you sign up with. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us. If you sign in with Google instead, we receive your email address, the name on your Google account and its profile picture link, and never your Google password.
  • Your calculator data. Break results you choose to log, the teams and products you select, and checklists you upload, stored against your account so you can see your history. When you are signed in, we also keep the spot prices you check on the break page, with the value and max bid we showed for each.
  • Email addresses you submit through our newsletter or set-request forms, used only to respond or send the updates you asked for.
  • How you arrived. The referring site, campaign tags and landing page are saved with your account so we know which links bring people in.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people use the site: which pages are visited, how visitors arrived, and their device, browser and approximate location (from the IP address). Google Analytics sets cookies on our site to do this, and Google handles the data under the Google Privacy Policy. We do not send your name or email address to Google Analytics, and we do not run third-party advertising on this site. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies involved.

If the app hits an error, a technical error report (without your name or email) is sent to our error-monitoring provider, Sentry, so we can fix it.

We use PostHog for product analytics: which pages and features people use, and whether they come back. An anonymous id is stored in this browser. If you are signed in, that activity is tied to your account id and plan, not your email. We do not send passwords, payment details, or what you type. Session recordings are off.

How we use it

To operate the product, communicate important updates, and improve the experience. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named on this page, and only what each one needs to run its part of the service.

Pooled break data

We combine the breaks you log, the cards you pull and the spot prices you check with other users' to improve our values and odds. Pooled data is used inside CardBreakCalculator and never shows your name or email. You can leave the pool at any time with the “Help improve break values” switch in Settings; your own history is not affected.

AI processing

When you use the AI features (break insights, the chat assistant, reading break results), the break data, text, or photos you provide are sent to our AI provider, Google Gemini, to generate the response. Photos and screenshots we read for listing or break-result details may instead be processed by OpenAI. Don't include personal information in chat messages, uploads, or photos.

Photos and screenshots you share are processed to answer your request and are not stored by us. We keep the text of your chat messages (with a note that a photo was attached) so you can see your conversation history, and we keep the details we extract from photos (like product, price, platform, and the cards pulled) to improve our break data and to save the results you choose to log.

Where your data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication), and the site is hosted on Replit. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Access to your saved data is restricted to your account. Share cards you choose to create are stored as public images so their links work.

Deleting your data

There is no self-serve delete button yet. Email cards@cardbreakcalculator.com from the address on your account and we will delete your account and the data associated with it, or remove your address from our email list.
